The Bible describes Jesus’ early followers sharing meals together, studying scripture together, and praying together – usually in homes. Life Groups are a way to bring that same Jesus-following pattern into the 21st century!

Want to schedule a small group?  Want to connect with an existing small group?  We are currently setting up multiple opportunities for people from The Open Door to connect via video for fellowship, study, and prayer.

If you'd like to initiate or be a part of such a group, please contact Pastor Jeff.

What are Life Groups?

Life Groups are mid-sized groups, different from small groups. Life Groups are about 25-50 people meeting a couple times a month in a home. Yes, it gets a little cozy sometimes! We share time to visit over appetizers or dessert, a simple time of worship – maybe a song or two, or a YouTube video that’s appropriate – followed by a brief Bible teaching. Usually at this point the Life Group breaks up into smaller "buzz groups" for conversation about the teaching. Prayer might happen in those buzz groups, or the whole group might come back together to pray as one larger group.

Life Groups are intentional about serving as well. Sometimes a group might adopt a mission trip or a missionary to support, but often members of the group will find time to serve together at The Open Door, in a local food shelf, or simply helping out a neighbor in need. It’s fun!

We have several Life Groups meeting to fit a variety of schedules and locations. Here are the Life Groups meeting currently:
